A Light for the Despairing

"You are the Light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden." Matthew 5.14

Our World Leprosy Sunday Service will be on Sunday, 27th January. The focus this year is on Nepal, especially looking at the work of the Anandaban Hospital.

Anandaban Hospital in Nepal is a beacon of light. A hospital situated high in the Himalayas where thousands of the world's poorest people, many desperately disabled, make intrepid journeys to each year. Not only is it a place where leprosy is cured but somewhjere they witness the love of Jesus demonstrated in the kindess of skilled medical staff. For many cast out by their families and communities, it is the only place where they are loved an accepted unconditionally.

In a thank you card we received from Leprosy Mission after they received our 2018 offering, Bunmi Olutoto, Country Leader of the Leprosy Mission in Niger said:

" Thank God for your heart for people affected by leprosy and your generosity which has enabled us to transform some of the communities where we work as well as find and cure more people struggling with leprosy."

Our yearly participation in World Leprosy Sunday makes a great difference to people and communities that suffuer under the curse of leprosy.

So, please plan to come to the service and then to the faith meal following the service. And please be generous in the donation that you give, remembering that real lives, real communities are changed and blessed by your donation.
