FAREWELL TUESDAY CLUB

On 12 October 1999 Tuesday Club began. It came about when the Sunday School-cum-Jesus' Club that St. Cuthbert's C of E Church ran was not able to continue. Gail met with the St. Cuthbert' s Christian Education Committee to explore possibilities for teaching children about God within the village in some kind of new format. The outcome was Tuesday Club. It was staffed by members of the parish church, Wall End and the Methodist Chapel, and later the Gospel Hall and a member of the Friends Meeting in the village. Over the years more than150 children have been regular attendees at Tuesday Club.

Tuesday Club has been a good vehicle to impart to the children of the area the knowledge of who God is, how much they are loved by Him, and that they can have a vibrant relationship with Him. Seed Planting! God has worked wonderfully and has blessed greatly the village and those involved with Tuesday Club. We are closing Tuesday Club, but we are also celebrating all that God has done through it: all the good that we know of and all the good that we don't know about.

Tuesday Club had its last meeting on 4th April and has morphed into JAM at Lunchtime, meeting Thursdays at Burlington School during term-time starting on 27th April.
