The Chapel Building & Renovation

The painting in the chapel is just about finished. It really looks so much better without all the cracks, bubbled and peeling paint and dirt.

The electrician has been in and has done some of the work in the back: putting in the emergency lighting that is now required. Our builders have been in as well and have insulated the floor in the school room, put on flooring board and have skimmed/re-plastered the East and West walls. They also put a ramp out the back door so wheelchair access is maintained and put a ramp in the chapel up to the now 6 inch higher school room floor.

Rita chipped the layers of paint off the bricks that line the opening of the fireplace in the school room. With the really good job the plasterer did around the bricks, the fireplace looks really nice. . .there is some discussion whether to put a plastered board within the fireplace or to leave it open.
